This constitutional right of free access encompasses all educational activities, whether curricular or extracurricular, and regardless of whether credit is awarded for the educational activity. The right of free access also prohibits mandated purchases of materials, supplies, equipment or uniforms associated with the activity, as well as the payment of security deposits for access, participation, materials or equipment. A process that allows for a waiver process for an otherwise mandatory fee, charge or deposit does not render it constitutionally permissible.

We believe parents are our partners in educating our students at Maple Hill Elementary. Parents are encouraged to visit the school frequently and participate in their child's education. The volunteer program at Maple Hill is strong and provides excellent support for staff and students. Parents are welcome to help in the classroom and participate in field trips, assemblies, and school events. For more information on how to be cleared to volunteer, please reach out to our front office staff. 

We invite parents to join our parent organization, the Maple Hill Community Club (MHCC), responsible for fundraising, the Hawk Walk, and many other school events. Our monthly Community Club Meetings are held in the multipurpose room at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to meet the Principal, discuss school business, and learn about the exciting educational activities at Maple Hill Elementary. The Community Club meetings are listed on our school calendar. 

We are looking for parents who might be interested in volunteering their time. We hope you will be able to join us as we make plans for the new school year!
